Whooty December Details

December Greetings!

Is there a better month to get crafty in than December? This month, Uppity Owl will be posting like crazy with posts on fun upcycled crafts, product reviews, additional "shopping with an owl lover" posts...and, I'm doing another eBook giveaway! Whoo Whoo!

This December, I will be starting off with a varity of write-ups on crafts utilizing RoseArt products. After receiving a huge shipment of fun, crafty and creative RoseArt supplies and products...how could I start the month off with anything else? Among the glitter glue, markers, crayons, pencils, colored pencils, pens, and crafting kids...I couldn't help but pause when I found the Scraps!  Scraps are a new toy line from RoseArt that immediately caught my eye! (As it did my 3.9 year old.) He especially enjoyed opening the Pom Pals that come as a "mystery." I must admit I was just as curious as he was!

We spent an afternoon together opening the Scraps...I took pictures and will be posting them soon. I'm even more excited about being asked to design a Christmas stocking that the new line of Scraps toys can be attached to. Be sure to check back for the tutorial.

November Nostalgia

I can remember countless Thanksgivings spent on the mountain with my grandparents.  All of the wondrous memories spent with them on that precious holiday are priceless and will last me a lifetime.  For that alone, I'm truly grateful.  

It's those happy memories that give me a desire to honor my grandmother in the kitchen.  Every single one of her dinners were served with nothing less than perfection.  Well, there was that one year a fire popped up in the kitchen as we all sat down to eat...but, all of the food was already on the table so that doesn't count. ;0)  Turkey with all the trimmings, Stuffing you didn't feel stuffed without, Mash potatoes that felt like fluffy clouds of heaven floating around in your mouth...Oh, and don't even get me started on the desserts! 

As soon as November rolls around, it's all about my memories and a legacy to live up to. I have found a Thanksgiving Menu that I think would make grandma proud.  I knew it was a keeper when my husband could remember everything we ate the first year I prepared it...a year later.  ;0)

I went shopping the other day...no matter where I go, Owls find me! I just had to snap some photos of these wonderfully creative, super adorable owls. I must say...I'm definitely inspired and feel some owl projects coming on!  So grab your hot tea and join me on this whooty shopping spree!

Shopping with an Owl Lover...Again!

Is it me or are there a ton of gorgeous owls everywhere?  I think owls have become quite popular this year.  This particular collection was so captivating I had to take some photos.  You'll want to redecorate your living room into a Whooty Winter Wonderland after viewing this shopping spree!  So grab a hot cuppa coffee, season it with Pumpkin Spice, and have fun!
